Walk the Line

The question that I have been asking myself lately is what type of Christian am I? And what type of Christian do I want to be?

1. A believer who is not involved in the world at all, and sees it as a bad place, not a place where Christians should be.

2. An uninformed believer who runs headlong into the world with clichéd religious slogans that make sense in church but not outside of it.

3. A believer who is involved in the culture, but is so cut off from the church that they just blend in and thus make no impression.

4. A believer who models after Christ.

Christ surrounded Himself with “the church” His loyal disciples, but He lived among the world. He pursued them. He related to them. He loved them. But He never compromised His beliefs. Is it possible for us to walk that line of living in the world and not being of the world? What does that look like for us today?
